How Pricing Works? (2023)

I am a bit old school. I prefer to establish a relationship with my buyers, collectors.
There are many factors that influence pricing:
-
the year the painting was completed
-
the collection a painting is a part of | is it a triptych? | is it part of series or motif that I have revisited over years? | is it one-off?
-
size of the painting
-
the rarity of the piece | is it a figure? | a portrait? | a still life?
-
all of these factors play a different role in how pricing is determined
-
In general, still life’s (flowers), cost the least.
Figures will cost the most. Portraits in between the two.
Size, year created and what collection the painting is a part of will be the main factors contributing to the final price.
